Helpful tips:

If making a cheesecake for a gift and you're afraid of leaving the bottom behind, use an 9 inch cake circle and double wrap with aluminum foil and replace the removable bottom part of the pan with it and bake as usual.

If putting in a bath, cover the removable bottom with two layers of heavy aluminum foil to ensure no leaking. You can also wrap the springform pan in 2 layers of aluminum foil before placing in the water bath.

Don't forget to make sure the pan is together properly before adding batter to the pan.
