The Pamlico 145T is the larger of the two Pamlico tandem models, sitting a full foot longer and two inches deeper than the 135T for increased capacity and improved straight-line tracking. The flat hull delivers rock-solid initial stability that makes it a natural fit for fishing, photography, and family outings on ponds, flatwater lakes, and slow-moving rivers. One practical note worth knowing: two full-sized adults paddling in close tandem proximity can find the stroke cadence a bit tight over longer distances, so it works best on relaxed, unhurried paddles rather than covering serious mileage.

What sets this kayak apart from a pure tandem is how cleanly it converts to solo use. Sliding the bow seat backward and locking it into place opens up a proper solo paddling position, with the rear seat available for gear or a small four-legged passenger. The Phase 3 AirPro tandem seat system is fully adjustable on both seats, with backrests that move up, down, forward, and back, and moisture-wicking seat pans that can be raised or lowered to reduce leg fatigue. The SlideLock XL foot brace system adjusts easily via an extension rod, and the stern Orbix hatch with bulkhead keeps dry storage sealed and contributes positive buoyancy.
